IZ walking at Willapa Bay
Â
The sun came out today. Warm, golden, life-sustaining. We did what all solar powered people do—we went for a walk. We now find ourselves with batteries fully recharged and imaginations fully engaged. Spring is two weeks late, but she has finally arrived in this wind-battered world of grey. Â
Better late than never.Â
Better late than never indeed! Days like today are SOOO welcome and yummy. I think I may have gotten a sun burn! Thanks for coming out with me… it was a good time!

It was so nice to escape this place–even if only for a few hours. I think I’ll be able to live off of yesterday for a good month. THANK YOU for taking us. ~W
🙂 When I was a young bride my dh took me over to Seaside. Growing up close to the Gulf of Mexico I was quite use to warm oceans. He laughed as I said, hey I will get my suit. My introduction to the Pacific Ocean consisted of wind driven sand in my hair and running from a sneaker log! I am sure the water temp was around 60 and this was July. Enjoy your early sun. It really is not summer until after the 4th of July. Beautiful photo. Really puts us there.

I grew up in Northern Cali, so the beach reality here didn’t shock me so much. The wind and hail, on the other hand, make me a little crazy. It doesn’t ever warm up “enough” here for my very cold blooded body. Like most cacti, I thrive in dry hot areas. Heh. ~W
I actually mowed the front lawn yesterday! (the back will be challenging since it’s very long and thick) I love seeing the sun and blue sky.

Ah, yard work. That’s on the agenda for Monday afternoon. Sadly, it must be done. S i g h. ~W
yay spring! it’s been a beautiful weekend, but due to get cold here again next week! boo! hiss!

Of all places, you should be getting good weather. . . right? I tell you, this winter has tested my patience! ~W
It snowed today. It didn’t stick – it just blew around. But still … snow. In April.
Happy you got some sunshine, though 🙂

Snow in April is so very, very wrong. I fear the sunlight isn’t for long–but at least the temps have popped up a wee bit. Last week it was cold and wet and bitter. ~W
Looks like a very nice day after so many storms. Sounds like you all need what we are having, 95+ days and 65 nights. The only complaint is Mac, he shivers with out a sweater at night poor little dog. You are always welcome and we can insure things will continue getting warmer so you need to remember the sun screen and bug spray.

That’s such a drastic drop. I suppose nice to be able to cool things off before facing another day of the heart. But like your dog, I think it would bother me. ~W
