Confession first: I was being silly in the comment about comments. I’m bad. I miss days at a time and then play catch up all over the place. And then you went to the trouble of that long explanation to help me out with comments when really all I need to do is get my butt in gear. Cringe.
I REALLY enjoyed Dan in real life. It is not movie greatness but it is funny and sweet with some fine family life scenes. It’s hard for me to imagine Mr. Bonnie doing THAT kind of partner yoga but then I already have to much to think about with those two.
And I love your spider in her web. They really are magnificent master builders. I think I’ll go play in my yarn stash. Oh! can you imagine my surprise when I found out that Abby is a huge fan of Etsy?

Confession is good for the soul. And we are promised forgiveness when we do. 😀 But, no worries… you weren’t the only person with comment issues… my answer wasn’t meant to guilt you as much as inform all those people out there with router issues. 😀
And Etsy rocks. I’m busy converting all my Thrifty Goodness merch over to it… leaving the website for sales and a place to blog about thrifting.
I’m going to have to rent Dan in Real Life, I’m afraid…. movies out don’t happen right now unless they’re kid flicks. ~W
I love spiders’ webs, just not the creatures themselves. Is there a message in that?

I’m sure there is… I never did dream or symbol work like that. I once had a therapist tell me that my “dreams” of spiders had something to do with facing fears. But clearly, that seems kinda obvious—and really, WAY off since my “dreams” weren’t dreams but night terrors. I’m not a fan of spiders, in general. But I’ve gotten somewhat over my phobia. I no longer drop into a fetal position upon encountering one! 😀 ~W
According to various dream interpreters and tea leaf reading specialists, spiders are omens of good luck or of money coming your way. Per http://www.sleeps.com/dictionary/sss.html – “In a dream, If you see a spider climbing the wall you will have your dearest wish come true and if you see a spider spinning a web you will have an increase in your income due to hard work. A large spider sitting on a telephone shows you will have a phone call that will benefit you greatly. The larger the spider, the bigger the rewards.” In any case, that is a great photo! As creepy as they are, spiders absolutely amaze me…

I don’t think the dream analogy stuff applies to terrors, tho. SADLY! Otherwise, one semester in Theology would have paid my tuition for grad school. 😀 ~W
Spiders are amazing. I don’t mind them, but I don’t want them crawling on me at night…eww! My youngest is deathly afraid of spiders, even the little, tiniest spiders.
We are having a ladybug/asian beetle infestation right now. We like naming them at night! 🙂 I don’t know if those little guys build anything, tho.
I think I’ll be building a quilt today! 😉

I can remember being in the middle of a ladybug swarm once. Everywhere I turned there they were, and all over me. It was quite the sensation. ~W
But try not to eat too many bugs when you’re done, right?
Lovely, Wende.

Beautiful picture! I love your Sunday sermons. Short, but sweet.

Oh, that all preachers were so succinct, eh? I think more people would be in church, frankly. 😀 ~W
Preacher, I am healed! You’ve cured my arachnophobia.
P. S. Sondre Lerche sang a duet with Regina Spektor during the ending credits of the movie!!

Yeah, he’s getting a lot of press for doing the soundtrack. I’m anxious to see it… good thing movies go to video quickly. 😀 ~W

I’m trying to build something beautiful…it seems at some point it was easier…well, I’ll just keep trying…

I think you are building something beautiful. I don’t know if it was easier before, or if we just weren’t aware how HARD this work really is. ~W
Beautiful capture of the spider web!
Love,
Jodi
