I am trying to be my own buoy! My husband is helping to prop me up a bit. 17 is a hard age.

Oof… 17 is a hard age. And sometimes, sadly, we have to be our own buoy. You are a FABULOUS mother, Margaret. And she will get past this and all will be well. I promise, it will all be splendid. 😀 ~W
I try to do this as much as I can. It is my hope that I succeed at least part of the time. Everyone needs a beacon. Thanks for this wonderful reminder. 🙂

You’re so welcome. I suspect we all need reminding from time to time—I hope by now, most of my readers get that these sermons are self directed. 😀 ~W
Good sermon. I need to do more of this. I hear General Jack has been promoted to Ambassador. That’s a good thing.

There was a time for General Jack. He was needed and I think the boy has blossomed under the strict command. But, it’s time for Ambassador Jack—the boy has other things he needs to learn now. And, for the record, you’re doing a great job!! ~W
Sometimes the term “service” seems so daunting…like it has to be something “big” to be of value. But even small words of encouragement can mean so much. Thanks for sharing this today.

I actually think the small acts of encouragement are harder to do. At least in my own experience, I know I miss those moments and I also notice how many of those moments in my life where I need encouragement are missed. People focus on the big stuff… it’s easy to do. 😀 ~W
I’m trying this out at work tomorrow (it’s all a selfish ploy to ease my misery there, but it might bring some light into someone’s day, too). You give the best advice.

You know, I’ve never thought it was a bad thing to do good to others even if you benefit. That’s called a Win-Win in my book… so rock on! ~W

I’m just a gull but I’ll try.

Does commiserating about enormous, all-consuming “to do” lists count? ~A 🙂
