I just spent the better part of this afternoon digging in the dirt and having some alone time. I find it’s the perfect way to calm me down after I’ve found one too many hairballs on the floor. (Is it really that hard to reach over and pick it up?!)
Plant therapy is amazing. Just remember your sunblock and deep breathing, oh, and make sure you squish your toes in some mud. It helps!
A few days ago, I told my Madeleine (8) that I needed a reminder to speak with words that soothe and heal. She drew and framed a picture of a pretty lady, with a fetching hat and darling shoes, picking flowers. Framed in hearts are the words, Peace and Happiness. Sigh!

Oh, what a tender heart your Madeleine has! And… thank you! 😀 ~W
Didn’t they do a recent study that said people who work with dirt are healthier, happier, and live longer?

Um, something about soil being good for you. 😀 Which, reminds me, I think we will live much longer and happier lives if you call a gardener to deal with that overgrown barberry bush in the front yard. 😀 ~W

Amen! Among others, and within ourselves…

My mom says to not plant outside until Mothers’ Day, and I can’t keep anything alive inside. Thus, I must wait to plant peace.
