The weather has turned and I’m feeling that need to bundle up just a bit. Not ready for heavy wool jackets really, but an extra layer wouldn’t hurt. So, I ran up to the house today to grab a stack of cozy sweaters. I forgot exactly what was in my sweater stash, (Tall piles of pale neutrals) and what it smelled like (balsam sachets keep the moths at bay) Â Does that happen to you? You know, put things away for a season, only to rediscover them later? Â It will be like this again next year when I pull out the summer clothes. Until then, I’m breathing deeply; inhale balsam, exhale bliss. (Take a big sip of latte)
Has summer left your world yet? Have you put away your summer frocks in exchange for cozy sweaters?
YES, definitely!! I feel fall in the air…and in the rain and wind.
It HOWLED last night. I’m not sure any of us slept well. Looks like it’s back to the treadmill for me. Too darn wet out there to walk.
Two words. 100 degrees.
One word: Jealous. (though, that can’t be easy being in your last trimester!)
The temp here vacillates between “my, it’s warm out here” and “crap, I gotta leave ten minutes early so I can scrape the frost off my windshield”. Back and forth, sometimes in the same day. It’s entertaining. 🙂 We’re expecting rain all weekend and I keep telling folks, “At least it’s not snow.” I’d probably prefer snow, though…
So, yes. Sweaters. But we layer ’em and pack the sunscreen. There are quirks to living in one of the few places on earth with a 100 degree celsius temperature swing. 🙂
