I recently bought new fabric for Mireio and shuttled it down to the studio the minute it arrived. I feel like I have to keep on top of the incoming supplies, otherwise the store has a tendency to take over the house. So, on my way downstairs, I holler up to IZ in his office, “I’m going down to the studio. If you want to see this fabric, you’ll have to come to me.”
A few minutes later, my boy is standing in the doorway.
Me: “Whatcha doing?”
Boy Wonder: “I’ll look at your fabric if you want me to.”
Apparently he thought I was being a bit neglected, so he came for a visit and oohed and ahed… Which made me smile. I’m pretty sure he couldn’t care less about fabric. But clearly, he cares a whole lot about his mom.
~~What made you smile today?
Awww. He makes me smile, too. See? 🙂

Great story. What made me smile today (well, having a day off but thinking back to when you actually posted this . . . )
One of my students said to another that he didn’t know who my son was. The other one said, “Oh you know him. He’s that 5th grader with the wild hair!”
And, yes, yes, he is. 🙂

Twins! I’m impressed… I cannot imagine the first three years of parenting two at once. Did you ever sleep? It’s awesome that you have such a great relationship with them. ~W
my boy/girl were 2 mths premature so when we finally got to bring them home after a long stay at the hospital we had to wake them every 2 hrs for a feeding if they did not wake up on their own. when they reached the weight the dr. wanted, he said we didn’t have to wake them anymore that they would wake us up! and they did, often! the first time my son slept through the night,i was at the drs. because i just knew something was wrong:).
i am blessed to have an awesome relationship with them! teri
