Wow–you are early!! I may (or may not) buy pumpkins. It’s no fun to not have anyone around to help carve them. I’m feeling maudlin.
_____________________________________________________ Yeah, we did it early this year. Because there just aren’t that many sources and I’m tired of getting half rotten pumpkins. :S ~W

Me too! For a change, and I do love pumpkins! They are make me feel so cozy…never realized how much I love orange and the rest of the Autumn palette! Have fun carving!
_____________________________________________________ I’m such a fan of the fall palette. . . I’d keep the house decorated for Halloween all year if some people in this family weren’t so hung up about Christmas. Ha! ~W
I can’t believe it’s already time for pumpkins and sweaters and leaves dropping everywhere …
I think you should make one of your pumpkins a scared face. For me? Please?

It’s always fun when I see roadside stands filled with pumpkins of all sizes mingled with all the beautiful colored mums.
i’m reading a book where a close to 100 year old grandma is telling her adult grandson how in her youth the “mill town” where she lived all gathered for food and fun and to carve pumpkins to display on an old bridge at nighttime. Her description of the glow of the candles inside the carved pumpkins was a sweet part of the story.
Have fun with your pumpkin carving!!
_____________________________________________________ That’s such a great idea… I’ve always wanted dozens of carved pumpkins. But between the expense and the fact there are just 3 of us, it’s not really feasible. So, the whole idea of a community pumpkin carving appeals to me. 😀 ~~W
