I love the cut; it looks perfect on you!! You have beautiful hair.
________________________________________ I am so surprised at how much I like this length! I thought I’d be really upset, but I’m not. As opposed to the bang debacle where I hated my hair for six months. 😀 ~W
Humidity, I got nothing. We usually have to deal with dry frizzies up here, though this summer it’s been nuts and I got nothing. But I love your hair!
And you need to wear that colour, like, all the time. 😀
________________________________________ Thank you! I’m surprised at that color… but you’re right, it works for me. I’m also wearing make-up in this photo… lots of it, actually. Because I just had my brows waxed (home job, let’s not talk about how much I goofed them up!) and my forehead and underbrows were bright red HOURS after. So, I slapped on the makeup because I’m, HELLO, vain. 😀 ~W
Great cut! I may bring in this picture to the salon 🙂
________________________________________ Let me look around and see if I can find the photo I gave my stylist. My hair is thicker and thicker… ha… than the model’s so, I can’t get it to exactly like the picture. But it will help your stylist see the lines. 😀 ~W
When it’s particularly humid out, I rub a bit of lotion (very little) between my hands so it’s a THIN film and start at the ends of my hair and then rub it through, going towards my roots (but staying away from the top of my head/roots…otherwise it just looks greasy). Works for me mostly! Plus, makes your hair SOFT.
________________________________________ Ok, this tip just rocks… because I’m the queen of all things lotion. I swear, I have more half-used bottles around this house. I keep it everywhere because I have dry skin and hate that tight skin feeling. 😀 So going to try this today!! ~W
Your hair is your crowning glory! Yummy color, too!
Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga, recommends a daily scalp massage with coconut oil. Eclipta alba (Bhringaraj – means king of tresses) is an herb that nourishes the hair and helps resistance to stress as well. Gotu Kola helps balance the mind and nourishes the hair and scalp. Cooking spices that make hair lustrous are cumin, turmeric and black pepper. Cooking with ghee is great for the hair. Ayurveda teaches that eating plenty of green, leafy vegetables and sweet juicy fruits and drinking coconut milk is better than hair products for your mane. (Soy Delicious Purely Decadent Coconut Milk Ice Cream = flyaway hair treatment/summer dessert bliss!)
________________________________________ yeah, I can’t do soy = Allergic. JOY. My hair is in great condition… it’s just has a texture that adores all our humidity. 😀 And of course, I don’t adore the texture. 😀
The flags are an art project my family did together about 4 years ago. We painted individual pieces of canvas with prayers for peace. I put them out on the deck porch during the good months. However, I’ve noticed that they have started to mold… Oy. Should probably come up with some way to seal them. ~~Wen
I need to know more about the beautiful flags in the background…
I use Bed Head After Party. It really works for my crazy hair. But seriously, you look wonderful.
________________________________________ Oh, thanks for the tip, Rachel. And thanks for putting it on the blog not just FB. Lots of people responded on my FB page, but it’s nice to have it here where everyone can see. (and I can find it later!) You rock. 😀 ~W
Cute! As for the humidity problem, I recommend Arizona. 🙂

I learned this tip from a toddler: lotion

Fabulous! Although, I don’t have any recommendations for fly away…it’s so dry here we just lump it!

I’m afraid I’m fizzy no matter the humidity. 😀 ~W
Wende – that would be great – I’d love to see the photo. My hair is rather thick too (and wavier, I think, unless you dry yours straight).
