Day Twenty-nine: I came home from picking up Boy Wonder at Day Camp to find this. Miss Sophie reigning supreme on our bed… which she knows is verboten!
But she looks so adorable there! My parents used to come home and find the huge black German shepherd (who was forbidden to even come in the living room) lying on the couch. My mom would scream her head off!!
_____________________________ Usually she is hanging out where somebody is… or on the couch. I was in shock to find her in my bed with no one else in the room. Which makes me wonder what else she’s been up to while I’m gone. ~W

Animals seem to know where they don’t belong and seem to take great pleasure in “claiming” those spaces. At least Miss Sophie had the decency to “strike a pose”…
“Maybe if I pretend to be a stuffed plush toy, I won’t be noticed…”
_____________________________ I think she might have been trying to sleep sitting up again… she had that, “I’m not really here” look she gets right before she drops off. I have a bad feeling she hangs out in our bed when we’re not home. ~W
She looks perfectly charming and like that is where she’s always been… On the plus side, she doesn’t look like she’s a big shedder or drool-monster. On the negative side, it’s really hard to convince her that it’s verboten when you take her pretty, pretty portrait instead of immediately removing her from the scene of the crime.
But the picture’s worth it. 🙂 (in my humble, “it’s not my bed so I should just shush” opinion.)
_____________________________ Well, usually she jumps down the minute she hears me coming. I snapped the photo because she was just being so darn brazen about it! ~W
Rules were meant to be bent and mangled. She’s adorable. If it’s true that dogs and their humans begin to resemble each other … do you think she looks more like you or IZ? 😆

She’s looking as if to say, “Well?!” It’s the same look Mena gets when she scratches the back of the couch until I yell, “Stop it!!” and then she licks herself as if nothing has happened…
__________________________________ Oh, Miss Sophie is trying my nerves this week. I swear, I’ve caught her sneaking into our bedroom so many times. CLEARLY, she and I need to spend some time re-establishing the fact that I’m ALPHA whether she likes it or not. Obey, dog-gone it! ~W

She must love your bedding as much as I do.
