He’s stylish and talks in code
Today’s much anticipated wind storm turned out to be milder than Monday’s gale. It’s blowing, but it’s not urgent. It’s the kind of weather that says, “Stay at home, your house is a pit and needs cleaning anyhow.” Yes, there is that kind of weather and it sounds just like your mother.
So, Â I spent the afternoon straightening up my studio and making room for this kid. Â He’s taken up residence on the far end of my working table. I now have vacuumed floors, relatively clean surfaces, Â and I understand that in php real numbers can be substituted by text. I’m using “understand” loosely here because I really have no idea what that means.
He’s stylish. And he talks in code. Just like his father.
He may sound like his father, but he looks just like you!! It’s blowing again here, pretty strongly. I’m thinking that it’s an excuse to read more of Hunger Games.

I don’t need much of an excuse to stay in bed and read a book. Hee. As for the boy, he DOES look like me. And then he starts to talk and he’s totally his father. Scary. ~W
No matter what language he speaks, he’s pretty cute regardless!

He’s had a few moments lately, eh? What was up with all the hugging on Friday? Not that I minded, but are you sure that was our kid? ~W
I do better with “unreal” numbers … but I agree with IZ, he’s pretty cute 🙂

Yeah, I don’t do numbers, so I have no idea most of the time what he’s talking about. He’s learning Java and Java Script, php, and talking about a bunch of other languages I don’t speak. It runs in his blood–his father is a self taught progammer as well. What can I say, I’m surrounded. ~W
Nice hat!!!

He adores it! ~W
He is getting so big! You inspire me in my homeschooling endeavors by raising such a unique individual. 🙂

Michelle, he’s 3″ shorter than me. I’m guessing by August he’s going to be taller. HOLY COW! And thank you. This photo captured one of those truly amazing moments of homeschooling. It’s funny, we don’t take pictures of the days we’re pulling out each other’s hair! ~W
He is so handsome! That hat is just the best! I think he might bring hats back into style! Don’t all men speak in code? Before my boyfriend and I started dating, my brother would always says to me, “I speak Man, trust me, the guy likes you.”

I do think they all speak in code. I’m clueless half the time. And he adores that hat. We went to the store that day, and as he walked past the hall mirror he stopped to look and see if he liked the hat with what he was wearing. And then he shrugged and said, “Yeah, it goes with everything.” It was a gift from me for Christmas and I never see him without it! ~W
I have a Java class coming up this summer. Think he’ll tutor me? 🙂

You know what’s scary, he could. He’s SUCH a little professor. When he was about 8 he used to do these “POP QUIZ” things in the car. We’d be driving along and he say, “Pop Quiz” and then make us answer. OMG, who does that? WE never did that to him. It’s like living with a tiny little fascist professor.
He’s become more subtle in his old age. Now he says things like, “Did you know. . . ” and “I wonder what would happen if. . .” After about 20 minutes I’m all, “Uh, mommy doesn’t want to learn anything new today. Thanks.” ha.
I’m such a bad mom. ~W
Homeschooling=best time of my life w/ Kel. What am I talking about? Every day I’m with her=best time of my life. Oh dear does she make me laugh! And yes to code. They speak it all of the time!

~I just started homeschooling one of my boys in November– it has been an incredible, wonderful challenge!! Everyday I amazed by his insight and intelligence.
~He really does look just like you!

I always say that homeschooling is 98% bliss and 2% watch wende pull out her hair by the roots.
And he does look like me, right? When he was a baby everyone would say, “Oh, he looks just like his dad.” I never saw it, I thought he looked EXACTLY like me. Our hair and eye colors are different, but otherwise, in the face he’s totally my kid. I feel vindicated. Hee. ~W
