Hi: 56° Strong damaging winds into early this afternoon. South wind 40 to 50 mph with gusts of 75 to 90 mph on coastal Headlands and beaches and to 65 mph coastal communities. Winds becoming southwest 15 to 30 mph by mid afternoon. Rain. Highs 50 to 55.

Power just came up here, on our section of the hill. It went down sometime early this morning. However the winds are unpredictable, so it’s hard to say how long we’ll have access. We still have several more hours of dangerously strong winds and after that, 40 mph gusts through the evening.
I’m attempting to get to comments, but this is the extent of my blogging until tomorrow. I’ll be back then with some thoughts on gratitude and abundance. For now, we are stoking the fire and heating tea and munching on gingerbread cookies—thankful to be warm and dry.
Stay safe, all of you.
Oh…stay warm and snuggly hopefully inside instead of outside…

Good advice… 😀 !~W
It’s blustery and stormy here too, and I love it. Though not QUITE as stormy as you! Stay safe!
~Angela 🙂

Apparently, there was a 90 MPH gust recorded earlier today. ~W
keep cozy!

I’m trying! ~W
Don’t blow away! Blustery weather can be fun when you’re cozy by the fire, with those that you love. The e.e. cummings poem has always been a favorite, always brings to mind my own munchkin. Your’s-I love when you write about him. That’s a wonderful post, with wonderful photos.

It’s disturbingly quiet at the moment… after all the noise last night and today, it’s a bit weird for the wind NOT to be blowing. ~W
Hello darling, it’s me Kristen, previously Kandeedo Bandeedo. I am back!! Please check out my new blog. I can’t believe it’s in the 50’s for you. Dare I tell you what the weather is like in AZ? I hope you are well. Gingerbread cookies look yummy. I am glad you have electricity back!! Warm thoughts in your direction, for sure!!

Oh, awesome. I’m so glad you’re blogging again, sweetie. I’ll be by soon to check out your new digs. 😀 ~W
It’s windy here too–VERY. The cat and I are cozy inside with power. However, those gingerbread cookies look mouthwateringly (word?) good. I did make it out for a run today, and saw one of my neighbors with a Christmas tree up. You don’t want to know what I said because it wasn’t NICE!!

ha ha ha ha, the tree thing slays me. I SO SO SO want to decorate for Christmas NOW… just because I’m on a block where there is NO holiday spirit. I call it going Griswald. IZ is not convinced. But, he wasn’t convinced about a dog either… so I have my ways. 😀 ~W
The wind was HOWLING in Seattle last night. Flynno woke up at about 3:00am and declared he was going out to bring the patio furniture in. Um, yeah. When he realized it would be a solo task (hello, middle of the night – WTF?) he was back to sawing logs in no time. I could tell it was really moving and shaking out there, however, I didn’t realize how much until this morning when I discovered a piece of my neighbor’s lovely green corrugated plastic carport roof in our front yard. (oops, I just wrote yarn instead of yard, but corrected it 🙂

Yeah, it was some storm. Today, the sun came out and everybody and their uncle was out on the town. It’s as if, the whole place has to participate in a town wide, “pinch me, I must be dreaming” exercise. 😀 ~W
If you get a big sheet and tie it to a skateboard, you’ll be back in Kansas in no time, Dorothy!
Stay safe! 😀

You mock, but I have red shoes to prove it:

We had mighty winds here too. Our power went out for about 12 hours but back on in time to see Heroes so temper tantrum averted!

I’m ashamed to say that my first thought was, “Darn, I hope the power comes back on before tonight, because I don’t want to miss Big Bang Theory.” Heh. ~W
Was this Saturday? We had crazy rain on Saturday night and it just happened to be date night with a party we had to attend, too. It was very wet, but exhilirating.

No, this was yesterday… Monday. It started around midnight and continued for 12 hours. Parts of our community just got power back this morning. Yikes. ~W
I remember the storms on the coast, fondly. I love storms. I don’t always love the results (trees down, power out, etc), but I love being snuggly in my house, lights out, watching the lightning and listening to the wind. The storms out here in the middle ROCK! but they bring the threat of tornadoes, and I can totally do without that.

Yeah, I’ve been in one of those storms… and I can say I’m just not a fan of storms. I’m a fan of sunshine. And cookies. And all things Anthropologie. Storms… not so much. :D~W
