I click on that image and watch the video and am struck by both a chuckle and awe. He’s grown so much in the past few years. And candidly, I never knew how to make a box like that before seeing this! Thank you for sharing it!

Awesome! I love his sense of humor, too. I choked on a little piece of cantaloupe when he said that for the scissors, any size or color would do. But it was a good choke π Remind me not to read your site when I’m eating breakfast lol

I’m personally fond of his little comment about things not needing to be perfect. I’m sorry, I’m his mother so I’m obviously biased, but this makes me laugh. He’s so earnest sometimes. ~W
This was actually a work sample that he had to tape for school. It was to be wholly his work; and it is. He wrote it, organized it, practiced for about a week, and memorized it all on his own. All I did was hit the record button on the machine. ~W

Wow, I am really impressed! And his steps are so clear and easy to follow that I’m going to give it a try myself. Bravo!

A+, I actually almost ran to get some origami paper to play along! π

Oh, thanks Kathleen. I also appreciate the little comment you left on Youtube. He’s pretty excited to get comments. (oh and you called it. We just heard from his teacher and he got 5 across the board! Yippee, school’s done!):D ~W
I’ve done this folding project with my class before, but I sat through your son’s tutorial because it was so darned cute! The two of you make a dangerous team… I see a summer of You-Tube in your future.
P.S. LOVED the comment you left on my blog today. I knew it’d be dangerous posting a picture of a bar right after I made my “we Catholics can drink” comment yesterday. π

Heh, this was all him. And I have no doubt YouTube will see more of him. He’s been bugging us to set up his site to have a plug-in so he can post tutorials.ΓΒ I woulds say that you opened the door wide regarding the Bar stools. Hee. ~W
Wonderful…I’ve never known how to make a box, or a great one for that matter! I especially like his 3 second count…It was just perfect!

Heh, this makes me laugh. I think for his first speech ever, and having written himself with little guidance from me, it’s pretty good! And, I’m right there with you, I couldn’t do it either, but I know how to now! ~W
He is looking older to me; his face is more mature. OH, my gosh. What a clever young man.

Yeah, I’ve been noticing it too. He’s taking on the distinct markers of adolescence. He is clever, but I think I’m going to have to limit his intake of HGTV.ΓΒ ~W
Thanks for the video. I am making these for my little niece birthday next week. :*) What a clever boy.

He did a great job! It is really hard to believe he is 10… he seems so much more mature! Anyways, your fanclub in TN absolutely adores him… you don’t think he would do a YouTube reenactment of the “Diversion” post, do you? Because THAT would be awesome π

Oh, he has his 10 year old moments. I just don’t broadcast them to the universe, because I’m pretty sure I’d hate it if someone did that to me. (and thanks for the comment.) ~W
OH…MY…GOSH!!! That was so great. I want to make boxes now just to rewatch the video! π Great work BW!!! π I’ll have to get his autograph when I’m out so when he’s famous I can brag that I know him! π

Thank you! π He’s kinda embarrassed over the attention, but I keep telling him “it’s a good thing!” π ~W
How cute! (Does it bug him to be called cute??) But seriously, he’s good. I can’t wait to see more! He should post some on the instructables web site, too.

He’s reached an age where it’s hard to tell on the “cute” thing. Thanks for the tip on the instructables. We might just do that! π ~W
Okay, it’s possible that I am completely and utterly hormonal, but I watched that and couldn’t stop crying! It just reminds me so much of Rocket Boy (that is, if RB was 10 and not 3, you know?). What a great post! I love it! ~A π

Oh, I totally get it. I alwaysΓΒ cry when a kid’s choir sings at church or at a school function, whether or not my kid is in the group or not. Something about it just gets to me. π ~W

I make my boxes slightly different, but gee, I’m pretty impressed and can’t wait to try it out. Thanks Boy Wonder!

“Again, any size or color will do.” ^_^
Too cute. How long did he practice this?
