28 April— Wow! What a week… four classes, two papers, a photo shoot, a camping trip and work! Now all that awaits is LAUNDRY.

I got the opportunity on Thursday night to go camping overnight at Kirby Cove. (part of the Marin Headlands) What can I say, camping at the beach, views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. Amazing! I made the short hike to the beach late that night to check out the city all lit up and the ships coming into the harbor. And NO fog horns.. nice clear night! It was extremely peaceful and just what I needed. And I will admit it was nice to know I can still pitch a tent without instructions and start a fire after all these years! Ok… I start fires all the time… but you know what I mean! I was up at 6:30 Friday morning to get the fire started for breakfast and in order to make it out to the beach before I broke camp. I got home just in time to shower and drive over to work! Whew, what a day. An NO, there are NOT pictures of me in my overalls, you are just going to have to take my word for it!

Work was great… Towne Center Books has a new manager, and he is great. (and I’m not sucking up cause he never reads this!) Anyhow… it looks good for the little book store. Big things are coming–wooohoo! I am still planning on keeping a few shifts there over the summer… and hopefully, I will have a job on campus soon! (let’s all hope, the business office has politely requested that I pay rent and tuition! YIKES)

Ok… well Laundry is calling. I’m serious. It’s grown limbs and now has a vocabulary. Sheesh… I’m coming already! ~W
